Dr. Anil Kumar Barua is an eminent Prosthodontist and a very well-known and popular senior most teacher of Mumbai- Navi Mumbai prosthodontic circle. He has had a long standing and very successful career.
He completed his BDS & MDS in Prosthodontics from Government Dental College, Mumbai. He served as a professor in GDC Mumbai (also GDC, Nagpur) from 1966-1990. He was the first Dean at DY Patil dental college, Navi Mumbai from 1990- 1996, also the first Dean at YMT Dental College, Navi Mumbai from 1997 -2003. From 2007-2015 Dr. Barua was associated with MGM Dental College and Hospital, Navi Mumbai as Professor Emirates.
Dr. Anil Kumar Barua, was not only a skilled clinician, but also an excellent teacher, mentor & academician. He was known for his discipline and strict demeanor. He has given tremendous support and contribution towards the development and progress of Prosthodontics as a field and IPS Mumbai–Navi Mumbai branch as an organization.
Apart from being a hardcore academician, he also has a keen interest in different art forms, craft and cooking. All his colleagues and students will vouch for his enthusiasm and active participation in college festivals. He has been an inspiration to students as well as the teachers of the new generations.
